Porcupine Injured in Stray Dog Attack Rescued

 



Udupi: A porcupine that was severely injured in an attack by stray dogs at Srinivasa Nagar in Chitpadi, Udupi, was rescued by social worker Nityananda Olakadu and handed over to the Forest Department.

Dhananjaya Devadiga, a local resident, noticed the injured and helpless porcupine in Udupi's Srinivasa Nagar and brought it to the attention of Nityananda Olakadu. Arriving at the spot, Nityananda Olakadu safely captured and rescued the porcupine with the help of a gunny bag.

Shivananda, a Forester from the Forest Department, received the porcupine and stated that it would be released into the forest after providing necessary treatment, care, and ensuring its complete recovery.
