D. P. Kumar (77), a retired revenue officer of the Udupi City Municipal Corporation, passed away on Sunday (yesterday) at his residence in Bhagyamandir, Chitpady, Udupi after a brief illness.
D.P. Kumar, a member of the UBM Christ Karunya Church in Indira Nagar, was well known as Gopalakrishna and Gopalanna in his service to the municipal council.
The deceased is survived by his wife Ivy Shakuntala, three daughters, relatives and friends.
last rites of the deceased will be held at the Udupi Cemetery after 5 pm today.
